BIOGRAPHY

Dave Nichols, retired from the superior court bench in 2005, lives in Northwest Washington on the shores of Lake Whatcom. His interest in art began while still in college, and now in retirement he devotes full time to his passion.

Dave works in both watercolor and oil and emulates the Brandywine artists of the Delaware/Pennsylvania area. He considers Phillip Jamison of West Chester, PA, Mike Wise of Richland, WA, Brent Jensen of Vaillejo, CA, Josh Elliott of Helena, MT, and Jeff Horn of Costa Mesa, CA as his primary mentors and influences. He has exhibited and sold his art throughout the Northwest. He welcomes visitors to his studio.

Dave's painting, "Two Maples," recently won the "Judge's Award" at the Camano Arts Association annual show.

Dave is a signature member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters.

The art shown in this site is for sale. Contact the artist for prices. His art may also be viewed at the Blue Horse Gallery in Bellingham. Dave is a member of the “Northwest Masters”, an artists’ co-op located at the Seaside Gallery, Laconner, WA, which is open
Friday – Sunday.
